All surgery leaves a scar...it's just that some of them are really well hidden! Making a scar that heals as invisible as possible is a real trick and many times, it just depends on the persons skin. But there are things that a person can do, like avoiding sun exposure on the scar, massage, silicone based scar gels and plenty of time are ways to reduce the visibility of a scar. And ultimately some scars can benefit from being re-cut and then re-stitched and can usually be done under local anesthesia in the office.
