A few challenges with this patient. She had original silicone implants placed 17 years prior and a recent MRI showed bilateral rupture. She also presented with bilateral capsular contracture and misshapen appearance to her breasts, right greater than left. It was all the more evident because of her lean stature, another challenge in breast implant surgery! We took her to the operating room and performed bilateral total capsulectomies, removal of ruptured implants and bilateral exchange, going slightly larger, to 405cc bilaterally and now with a nice, round smooth shape.
