Case Details
This 29-year-old breast augmentation patient is a great example of a balanced breast and expanding the lower pole. I hear some surgeons say you shouldn’t change the inframammary fold because it can lead to a double bubble and in some patients that is true but I feel in the far majority of patients, it has to be done to achieve the proper balance. This patient has a very short distance naturally underneath her breasts greater on the left than the right. If the fold were not released her implants would sit way too high. Going through the underarm with the endoscope and releasing the muscle adequately, the implant can now give fullness to the lower breast, no double bubble, with a nice, natural shape. We used Allergan style SCM 375cc silicone implants.
